The new Google Maps is here… and it’s a smart map.
Take a look at this screen cap that shows you a cluster of sushi restaurants in SF.
All at one glance, you can see what’s near you and compare reviews on the various places. You can even generate a list of preferred restaurants based on reviews by experts and your friends. As a foodie, I give this feature a huge thumbs up.
You can also scroll through a list of famous places to visit at the bottom of the map – pretty useful for tourists!
Google also states that the map gets more personalized as you continue to use it. I’m certainly intending to. Check out this video on the new features for Google Maps which includes comparisons for length of travel across different transportation modes at a glance.
What are your thoughts on the new Google Maps? I’m thinking dinner right now, because it’s telling me that I have a 7 min walk to sushi. 😉
